Ann Agnes HOLMAN born about 1814 St. Pancras London UK was the daughter of William Holman and Mary Ann Boxley.
Ann married John CANN, a baker on 28 Jul 1842 Old Church St. Pancras London England UK.

John and Ann had three children in London and another two in Australia after they all emmigrated.

John Kennedy CANN born 14 Aug 1843 London.
William Henry Walter CANN born 13 Aug 1845 London.
Jane Mary CANN born 22 Nov 1847 London.

The family arrived at Adelaide South Australia where Ann gave birth to Anne Adelaide CANN born 03 Sep 1850.They then all headed off to the Victorian Gold Fields and their daughter Mary Charlotte CANN was born 11 Mar 1854 at Richmond.

They then set off for the Blackwood Gold Fields, arriving in 1856. John operated the “Staff Of Life” bakery at Kangaroo Flat Blackwood and by 1859 was the proprietor of “Kangaroo Inn” at Mount Blackwood. In 1861 he was the hotel keeper of “Southern Cross Hotel” which he then purchased in 1862. He died 18th April 1883.

Ann Agnes HOLMAN lived for some additional years and ended up Muttaburra Qld Australia. (The home of the dinosaurs.) This mystery has yet to be uncovered. She died 23 Jul 1895 and was buried in Muttaburra cemetery with a headstone "Annie Agnes CANN" aged 81 years site 12.

John’s eldest son John Kennedy CANN was an excellent blacksmith and coachman establishing a mail coach service. On the 26th of March 1869 he married Rebecca Olivia May PERRY at St Stephen’s Church Richmond.
John K. CANN, as well as the coach service was also now running the “Royal Mail“ hotel in Golden point, but in 1877 he took over the running of his father's hotel in Blackwood.

John K. CANN and Mary had seven children, and a Victorian dynasty was established.
