Obituary - Smith B. McMillen
East Liverpool Tribune 10 April 1911

Smith B. McMillen, an aged and most highly respected resident of Elkrun township, died at his home one half mile south of Signal at 7 o'clock Saturday evening (April 8, 1911) of dropsy and other complications.

Deceased was 76 years old and was born on the farm where his death occurred. He was a son of Taylor and Belle McMillen**, who were among the early settlers of this county. He is survived by one sister and one brother, Miss Emily McMillen, with whom he made his home, and Thos. Who also resided in that vicinity. Deceased was a member of the Friends church. The Funeral will take place at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon from the home, the Rev. G. W. Grate officiating, and interment was made in the cemetery at East Carmel.
