**Horace GRANGER son of Benjamin Granger & Ruth Rutledge, was born on 9 Nov 1819 at West Salem, Mercer, PA. He married Margaret Goucher on 7 Dec 1842 married in Trumbull Co., OH. His second marriage was to Electa R. Hall, daughter of Benjamin Hall, between 1871 and 1879 at West Salem, Mercer, PA. He died on 9 Oct 1895 at Greenville, Mercer, PA, at age 75.

Horace & Margaret lived for a time in Ashtabula Co., OH, but eventually settled in West Salem tp, Mercer Co., PA, where Horace worked as a Farmer and a carpenter, and they raised their family. During their marriage, Horace had to go serve in the Civil War - in Company B of the 57th Infantry Regiment out of Pennsylvania, as a Private.

Margaret GOUCHER was born on 28 Jun 1821 Trumbull Co., OH, the d/o Henry Goucher & Margaret Sturett/Stewart?? She died on 31 Aug 1870 at West Salem, Mercer, PA, at age 49. Both Horace & Margaret are buried in the Shenango Valley Cemetery in Greenville, PA.

James H. GRANGER was born in Oct 1856 at West Salem, Mercer, PA; murdered in Mercer Co, PA in 1899, although he was said to be seen at the Buffalo Worlds Fair.
Amelia M. GRANGER was born on 15 Sep 1859 at West Salem, Mercer, PA. She died on 11 Jan 1860 at West Salem, Mercer, PA.

William Rufus GRANGER (Horace, Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin, Abraham, Lancelot) was born on 17 Aug 1847 at Ashtabula Co, OH. He married Naomi Bell on 8 Sep 1877 at Columbiana Co, OH and divorced in March 1882. He married Mary A.C. Asael on 16 Mar 1882. I have no information on his first wife, Mina (possibly his cousin, Almina Goucher of Trumbull Co., OH), other than they divorced 21 Feb 1876 in Columbiana Co., OH.

A year later he married Naomi, who he also divorced, after having one child (Paul Clifton). Naomi and Paul went on to live with Naomi's sister and Brother in Law after that in Missouri. As for William, there was the marriage that stuck with Mary. By 1900, they were living in Moorefield, Clark, OH with their two children, where William was working as a Physician. They then moved Chandler, Comanche, OK, where William was a Farmer. It appears as though William died before 1930, and Mary went on to live with her daughter Margaret's family in Tulsa, OK.

Naomi BELL was born in Nov 1854 at OH to Hiram Bell & Martha Freed/Friedt in Columbiana Co., OH.
