there are 2 large savage families in the area that i know of, the savage whanau from Matata/ onepu,Kawerau and the other whanau relatives from te whanau a apanui further down the coast. the families are extremely large and the name doesnt register in my line in kawerau, however i am not familiar with the other many families. there are also a few smaller families one is located in Waiahou, good luck
