I have reached a brick wall in my Skipper research - any help will be appreciated!

My father was James Calvin SKIPPER, born 1876 in Newton Co., GA

His father was Levi Parks SKIPPER, born 1842 in Marengo Co., AL.

His father was Henry SKIPPER, born 1811 in Lenoir Co., NC

His father was either John or Henry SKIPPER, born in NC. Both had male members in the age bracket of my Henry on the 1830 Coweta Co., GA census.

Their father was Jacob SKIPPER, who died in 1803-04 in Wayne Co., NC. Jacob paid poll tax in Dobbs Co., NC in 1769 and 1779 and in Wayne Co., NC in 1786.
