I can't do it so that it turns into a link where people just need to click on it instead of typing it in . .

OK, that didn't work.
Let me see if you can actually make active links in posts:

Ok, I can't workout how to make active links in this system. Sometimes the software won't let you put HTML code into pages. This seems to be what is happening here.
Cheers,

Alrighty (thought people might be getting sick of OK!).
If you want to make a link, you need to do the following:
Link: link text
1. Open Square bracket, type word "URL" then = then the URL of the page you want to link to.
2. Then Close Square bracket, then type the text you want to use as the link text, ie Ngaires Family History Page.
3. Open square bracket, then a forward slash, then the word "URL" then close square bracket.
OR
Use the post journal link and at underneath the box you type your journal in, there are three lots of instructions for formatting your post, including how to make a link active.
Cheers,
Michelle
thank you so much for that . . .
I was following the format instructions but was obviously doing it way wrong :))

Ngaire,
You need to put this around the links:
<a href="http://ngairedith.tribalpages.com">URL Or Name of Website Here<a>
