Hey Mariane,
For me to find your Mary O'Donnell I would have to look at her married name of Caven in the BDM indexes. Which I can do for you next time I go into town.
Our family of O'Donnells came from Omagh,County Tyrone. I don't know how close the counties are.
The original grandaddy is Hamilton Lewis O'Donnell.
If your family lived, had children and died in Victoria then there should be records of those events and registration numbers.
I have heard of the Marco Polo ship. There are ways of checking ship records there too.
Do you know who the parents of Mary O'Donnell were?
Hmm keep in touch.
Do you need specific information or just interested to see if there was a connection to my clan?
Regards
Meredith

Hi Meredith, My Great greast grandmother Mary O'Donnell from Kilbane Co. Clare married Andrew Kevin(Caven)in 1852 and travelled to Melbourne with him and her parents later that year on the Marco Polo. Do you have any connections please?
