Hello from a Messier descendant from Minnesota. I welcome contact with any researcher who is interested in the Brousseau or Messier Lines. I have much research completed on the descendants of Augustin Brousseau (1820-1903) and Leocadie Bourgeois / Bourgis (1821-1912). My research also includes much information on the descendants of George Messier / Macey / Macy / Macha / Machie (1841-1919) and his wife, Marie Philomene "Phoebe" Brousseau (1852-1901). Many family lines have been completed as well as pedigrees back to France. I'd love to compare notes with people researching these same lines! I am related through William Francis Macey Jr (1903-1972) whose father was William Francis Macey (Francois William Messier) (1883-?) whose parents were George Messier/Macha/Machie (1841-1919) and Philomene Brousseau 1852-1901. Philomene parents were Augustin Brousseau and Leocadie Bourgeois. So lets connect!

Hello - you have found a Machie here.

Nelson Joseph Machie married Grace Martha Allan and they had nine children:

JoAnn, Linda, John, Robert, Allan, Gail, William, Donald and Raymond.

I have a picture of Leocadie Bourgeois - at least I think I do.

email me here or at home -

I do have a picture of Leocadie Bourgeois sitting by a spinning wheel that I sent you, do you have another picture of her to offer? Thanks, Barb

I believe the one I have is with the spinning wheel and the pipe in her mouth. Correct?

Let me see just what I do have (not much), but I will send whatever I have to you.

Did you get the pics of our Machie clan all right?

For some reason - I am not getting messages from you. Can you email me at home? lhendri479@aol.com

Thanks Barb -

Hey Barb - just wanted to connect with you and see what is going on in your neck of the woods. School is over for the summer, or soon will be?

I have not heard from Charoltte in a very long time. Have you?

Catch you later

I AM COUSIN TO JOANN MACHIE (BOMBACI). I BELIEVE MY FATHER WAS A BROTHER TO NELSON. I BELIEVE THERE WAS ALSO A SISTER.

Is your father Chester D.? You said your Dad was a brother of Nelson Joseph Machie. According to the family group sheet I have on Joseph Macha/Machie & Cora Perkins I show that they did have a sister, Virginia P. born about 1915 in CT. According to the 1930 US Federal Census record the children (not with parents) were living with the Ernest Stender family in North Branford, New Haven, CT. I'm assuming the parents were deceased but have not found death dates for them. My great grandfather Francois William (he went by William Francis Macey)Messier/Machie was both Joseph Macha's and Cora Perkin's first cousin. His father was George Machie/Messier and his mother was Philomene Brousseau. Would love additional info on the family of Chester D. Your siblings etc. Thanks!
Barb
