Looking for John Schleider of Germany

Query by MataHari

John Schleider born about 1842 in Germany, Bremen we think..
He was of dutch decent, Information passed down, leads us to beleive John had a brother who was personal secretary to the kaiser..
John appears on the UK census in 1871 aged 29 a baker, He then appears in 1891 married to wife Ellen Loam, and goes on to have several children...
Ada, Elizabeth, Nellie, Annie, John and Jacob..
Jacob also married an Ellen and went on to have George, Herbert, Sydney, Charles, Ruby, Constance,Dolly, Nelly, Edith, Leonard and Betty who was adopted.
George was killed in france in 1915 during the 1st world war
Leonard married June and had 2 daughters (both living)one of whom is my mother.
Sydney married Dorothy and went on to have 2 children (both living and recently found!)

I am trying to trace any living decendants of John Schleider and also anyone who may know information about the Schleiders that can help me piece the jigsaw together.

Information i am trying to find:

1) Who were John's parents and siblings?
2) Why did John come to England alone, what happened to the rest of his family?
3) Where does the dutch connection come in, where did the family originate from?
4) Where the Schleiders Jewish?

Through my research i have found out alot about Schleiders and history, I think over these past few months i have learnt far more about politics, royalty and war than i ever did in school, Schleider is a name I am proud to have decended from. They are an interesting bunch!!
