Hi I am researching the BESSELL family in Tasmania so Far I have not been able to find a MAY EDITH JOSEPHINE BESSELL OR A LORNA LILLIAN BESSELL these two BESSELL's was suppose to have married my grandfather WINCENT EDWARD JOHN RICHARDS ALSO KNOWN AS JACK RICHARDS, OR WINSTON RICHARDS. VERY CONFUSING AND HERE IN TASMANIA AUSTRALIA EVERYONE IS HIDING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND NOT TELLING.Apparently Lorna Lillian is possibly not a Bessell. I know for fact MAY is A Bessell. But there was some adoptions and fostering going on and one of the BROWN/BEETONS were fostered into the Bessell family.We have an EDITH MAY and I feel that the reason we can't find these two women is they were fostered by the BESSELL's like I was on a mutual agreement given up as a 3month old baby to a lady who liked to take in children. And over a long period I found that my father GRAEME LESLIE RICHARDS was also raised by this old lady in the same home I was raised in. Tasmania is well known for it's failure to help children over the last 100 years and every time I try and get answers I am given the run around. I would like to solve this mystery and get some peace before I die. My life spent in foster care and welfare was of severe abuse and neglect, physically, mentally and sexually. And I feel my father suffered the same he died at the age of 51 and no one contacted me to let me know. The welfare of this state have paid out money to shut us up but have still failed to give us free birth certificates and marriage certificates, death certs, if all this info was available to us and the welfare files on family members that have passed away, maybe all of Tasmania could be at peace as we would know where our roots are. It is no good trying to get answers from the living as almost all have been abused one way or another and don't really know anything them selves.I have found that Lorna helped a lady who was a CAMPBELL on a property at DON DEVONPORT, and that a man by the name of MR COLE lived there as well. PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP?
