He was born in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada on July 17, 1901 to George Burney. He had one brother and five sisters: George Milton, who went by Milton; Nellie, May, Lenore, Gerturde and Florence. Nellie married a Charles Richardson, May married a Merle Fox, Lenore married Frank Waggenor, Gerturde never married and Florence married but I'm not sure what her married name was.

ncsayresg on 2009-09-26 15:43:59Nellie married Charles Richison and was my mother's stepmother. I gathered some Burney family information from my mother, and much more from genealogy web sites. Nellie was married twice before Richison. May was married to Nickerson, Bohm and Fox. Florence was married to Levi(Sam) Cooley. Gertrude was married to a Griffith who died between 1920 and 1930.
