I am a direct descendant of B. T. Clark (Sr) and I enjoy reading your journals. Your comments about Charles Jonas Clark filled in some gaps for me in my own family tree. May I point out a question I have about your posting concerning the family of B. T. Clark: Ann Southwell Seymour (widow) had one son (Charles William Seymour (birth 1840) by her first marriage to William Seymour. This son (Charles William Seymour) was a step-son (not adopted) and lived with B.T's family. Hence his name was on any census rolls for Utah. I do not know where some researchers have come up with a birthdate of 1859 in Utah for a Charles William Seymour Clark. All the published histories for B. T. Clark and his wives do not mention more than 3 children for his wife Ann (Lorenzo, Heber, and Ellen). His history can be viewed online at freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~archibald/bt-clark Gordon K Larson
