Profile Research Contact | This German family was Mantei in Volhynia, but the name mutated over several generations to Mantik. My grandfather Michael Mantik arrived at Ellis Island in 1907. His ancestors were Joseph Mantei/Mantik (born 1851), Gottfried Mantei (born 1820), and Adam Mantei (born 1779). Michael promptly moved to Wisconsin, where I was also born.
