He was born about 1824 in PA, married about 1848 probably in Delaware Co., IA to Esther Still (b. about 1826 in NY) and I don't know when he died, but it would have been between the 1880 and 1900 censuses. His parents were William (b. about 1793 in PA) and Mary E. (b. about 1788 in PA) who also made it to Delaware Co., IA.
