Profile Research Contact | My father, James Bennett, was the only boy of a number of sisters in Mount Holly, NC. The story goes he left North Carolina when he was 14 of age and never returned. Sometime in the 1960's his older sister, I think, Virginia came to New York to visit him. She resided in Long Island for that summer and I was then around 14 or 15 of age and stayed with her and son Walter that summer. My name is Linda Bennett and the last of seven children of James Bennett. |

Recently in New York while attending a cousin on the Brice side of the family it was revealed that the Bennett family is connected with Bennett College, NC. that in the 1950's there where several Bennett families (4) lived in houses in the surrounding Bennett College community.
