My Great Grandfather, Henry Dalguish Donkin, b1856 Adelaide, South Australia,d1926 Waratah, Newcastle, NSW, Aust.He married Rosanna Kagin( Roseannah, Rosannah, Roseanna, I have found all of these spellings of her name) They were wed 1876 Lambton, Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Rosanna was b1.1.1856, d1933 Mayfield, Newcastle, NSW, Aust.

They had 1 son, William George Donkin b1873 d1946 (My Grandfather) who married Isabella Diver b1882 Wallsend, Newcastle, Aust. She d23.10.1964. there were 2 daughters, Elizabeth Annie (called Lily)Donkin b1881 and Ethel Donkin b1884 Wallsend, Newcastle, NSW, Aust. Most of my ancestors from there down seem to have come from the Newcastle area.

I have found A Roseannah Isabelle Irene Kagen b1898 Wallsend, Newcastle, NSW, Aust. d1977 Lambton, Newcastle, NSW, Aust. She had a brother Henry D. Kagen (1900-1934) Her Grandfather, George Kagen, wed Annie (Ann) Abrams. Her father, George Kagen, wed Athol (Athole) Taylor B. Butler. My middle name is Isabella and my father, William Henry donkin, was born in Wallsend Newcastle in 1902. I feel that there must be a connection with the above Kagens.
