Looking for a John Welles/Broome(?)marriage in Conn., then moved to Ohio around 1788-1789. Land was granted from serving in war. Also looking for records of their son John William Welles and his wife (from Quimby or Quinby family?). I'm unsure of maiden name. I am sure of a Mrs. M.J. Welles (think the E dropped to: Wells). This marriage had a son William Wells who died young, 1850-1855. 3 daughters Harriet b. 1855, Ellen Mae b. 1870, Edyth b. 1875. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My great Aunts records list John Welles from Conn. married to a "Broome". My grandmother and Aunt used to talk of their grandma Broome, who would have been Amanda Broome married to Gilbert Washburn. the son of Gilbert and Amanda, Carl married my GG grandmother Ellen Mae Wells. I'm not sure if the records of a Broome marriage in Conn. was right it sounds funny, and I have broken links here. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Debbie
