The name Bessie sticks in my memory. I helped my mother research the Carter family from her side during my middle school/high school years. I do not have my mothers mounds of information.

I am trying to find the family history. My memory is foggy. However, Bessie does stick in my head. I do know the portion of Carters I come from had a John and Jane Carter, who traveled across the States to settle in Kansas in the early 1800's. There was a connection to a Silas Mathers ( this just popped into memory..wow)..
