I am searching for the Wallaces, Wrights, Samuels and Groves, and Wheatley from St Elizabeth, in Jamaica West Indies. These families are known to have married within close circles sometime even within relations, as was the practice in the early 19th century (at least, that is what I have heard). I do know that they lived in close proximity to each other, they were in St. Elizabeth or nearby Parishes before the new configuration of what is now St. Elizabeth, i.e Cornwall, St. James, in Places Named Mulgrave, Elderslie, Reese,Jointwood, Content Hall Parottee and Barton Giles. These names are no longer used, but they are in the history the Colonial era of settlers, slaves, planters and indentured servants. If you are familiar with any of the above please be in contact.
