James Stent was the 3rd child of 6 to Charles and Sarah (nee Peck) who emigrated to New Zealand in May 1841 on the LORD WILLIAM BENTINCK.

He married Sarah Whitehead when he as 45 and she was 21

They had 8 (known)children:
Grace Stent b. ? married Monty Carter

Allan Stent b.1899 - died an infant

Emma Stent - 1900-1984 married Stanley Oke

George Stent - b.1902 moved to Australia

Laurel Stent 1904-1983 married ? Hazeldene & Patrick Moore

Pearl Stent 1906-1971 married Raynond Double

Ralph Thomas Stent 1909-1987 married Florence Adelaide Martin

Cecil Stent b.1910 moved to Australia

I would like to know who the spouses were especially the name of Mr Hazeldene ??

I have also found 2 STENT boys who were sons of a Janes Stent, but obviosuly not the above James as they enlisted in 1902 - too old to be his children:

They were of the same area in Manawtau, New Zealand as the other Stents.
They enlisted on the same day into the same contingent, their ID numbers follow each other etc etc
I am sure they belong somewhere on the same tree as James Stent above
