alisha_mariei want to find out who my family was and where they came from..the DEAN family..we are related to smiths.burtons.whites.and alot of other names..please help me..we originated from scotland..i jus want to know who was in my family

KAH45 on 2009-08-28 22:08:39I am related to Jane White who was boen in Abbeville, Dist. #96 North Carolina. She married William Leslie who was born in England in 1757. The White's are from Scotalnd. They were Ustler's. Not Highlanders or Lowlanders.
Tip: Start with trying to find information at your great grandparents level if your grandparents are still alive. Ask lots of questions from your relatives whilst you still can. Create your family tree online at Geni - Everyone's related a free site. The great thing about this site (I have my tree there) is any rellies that have an email address, you can invite them electronically to the tree so that they can contribute too no matter where they live in the world.
