Hi Abi, I checked my GEDCOM file and the McIntyres and Pattersons in my tree are all New Zealanders.
Hi Alison,I have quite a few of the same surnames that you have on your list, mostly from the north of NZ. I see you are in Oz as I am also but born in Auckland NZ, currently in Brisbane. You can reach me at kalima99@hotmail.com ..... cheers Jeff
Hi Alison I see you have the Autridge listed are you able to tell me who that maybe. I am currently researching my grandfathers family history he is a grandson of Charles & Frances(nee Palmer)Autridge.
Thanks email me at smith-autridge@xtra.co.nz
Dear Totarav, Hi. I don't have much on the AUTRIDGE family but I'll bet my bottom dollar that with an uncommon surname like that, they are related to ones in your tree.
Richard GRYLLS married Mary Ann AUTRIDGE and they had a daughter Mary Jane GRYLLS 1845~1910 New Plymouth, New Zealand. (They probably had more children, but I only know about Mary. Not much more is known by me about the GRYLLS/AUTRIDGE families higher up in the tree, but more can be obtained with bdm certification by a descendant/interested party.) She went onto marry into the COTTIER family ... families/surnames connected are: COWLING, BEANE, BEAN, PAYNE, COLLINS, TAGNEY, RANKIN, EDGECOMBE, MOYLE, HEWLETT, MITCHELL, KEBBILL, MILES, LOBB, GRANT, DRAKE, RIDLEY, AVERY.
Alison.
Hi Totarav and Alison
In my grandmother album which I have, there is a photograph of a young man in uniform , WW1, and the inscription on the back reads:
"To Emma with love Tom".
There is a another note in pencil that states "Tom Aldridge- killed in the war".
I have looked at the commonweath graves site and have found a Thomas Benjamin Aldridge, nok Mr R.P. Aldridge ( father) of Stratford.
It is possible that Tom Alridge maybe the grandson of John Rogers and Elizabeth nee Jury and so related to my grandmother who was the grandaughter of William Rogers and Eliza Scandlyn.
Has this Tom come across on any of your family searches?
We will be visiting the Somme next year and so the search has special meaning apart from the interest to understand the background and family connections of a photograph of a young man who lost his life far to young..
Hi Alison,
Yes several names actually, but your lambert, wouldn't be a cecil lambert born 1892 married Julia Rowe in 1917?
Dear 'dide', I don't have either of those names (Cecil Lambert & Julia Rowe) in my tree sorry.

Hi Alison
I notice that you have at least one McIntyre and at least one Patterson on your tree. I am looking for people who can tell us more about our Australian heritage?
