Robert WYETH was born in Jamaica, West Indies
He arrived in Port Nicholson (now Wellington) on the 3rd January 1840, sailing on the CUBA having left Deal, England on the 2nd August 1839 - a journey of 154 days.
All the passengers were men, any wives following in the next ship.

He married Jane RUNNALLS in April 1840 in Petone, 8 months after his arrival in the colony.
She was born in 1816 in Bodmin, Cornwall, UK - not known when or who with, she emigrated to New Zealand but it would have been only months before her wedding.

(Her sister Sarch Runnalls also emigrated and had emigrated with her husband Thomas Poad)
