I have a great friend here in NZ, who said tonight that she is descended from Sitting Bull... she is not on the computer, but I would love to be able to help her in anyway I can, she came to NZ possibly in the 1930s. She is nearly 90 and is trying to find out more about herself.. She can say all the names of the tribes.. pronouncing them as well. I shall be seeing her this coming weekend, and will see if I can get anymore names from her.. When she came to NZ, she said an Uncle escorted her here, under the name of Smith. Smit.. Dr. Allan Smit, we are not sure of the correct spelling, nor can trace if he stayed in NZ or returned home.. The family connection would be on her mothers side..

If anyone can point me in the direction as to find out anything please... she has the darkish colouring. Lived in Germany and England.. before coming to settle in NZ.
