My paternal family originated from Aberdeen, Scotland. My Great,Great Grandfather was William Ord. He married Mary Shepherd in Sheffield in 1843. He was a tailor.

They had seven children names as follows (in order of birth): Thomas Shepherd Ord, Janet Wilkin Ord, Elizabeth Ord, John Ord, George Ord, Emma Ord and William Ord.

My great grandfather was John Ord. He married Mary Hayes in West Derby, Liverpool.

My grandfather was William Ord (born 1881). He married Kathleen Mitchell (born 1892) in West Derby, Liverpool in 1913.

My father was William Ord (born 1917), he married Martha Allen (born 1916) in 1945.
