My husband's ancestor Emma Richardson,b.1845 Stepney,who married Edwin Arthur Attwood,was the daughter of William Winstanley Richardson born
19 Dec 1813 St Botolphs Without Aldgate and Priscilla Sturgeon from Brentwood Essex.William and Priscilla nee Rudkin, married 21 Oct 1836 Finsbury St Luke Old Street. He married again 15 Sep 1861 St Saviours Paddington to Elizabeth Puddefoot. William R was at different times a coal meter, van proprietor, grease manufacturer and coal dust manufacturer.
The name Winstanley Richardson was obviously important as several
others were named the same in the family. William and Priscilla had William Winstanley R. born 1843 Stepney who died young ane William and his 2nd wife Elizabeth had one born 1862 at Ratcliff Middx.
William Winstanley R. born 1813 was the son of Charles and Elizabeth R.
born 1778 Finsbury St Luke. Charles was the son of Winstanley Richardson bap 1738 St Brides a spectacle maker,and Margaret. Charles was a tallow melter.
I am very interested in the early Richardsons some who were optical and mathematical instrument makers.
