Deslatte descendant looking for more information!

My name is Melissa Lara,

I am a daughter of a Deslatte and I am looking to find my roots. I've searched for a long time to find information on the Deslatte history. So far I've followed the male lineage from my mom, Lisa Deslatte, her grandfather is Albert Deslatte (born 1904, married to Lorena Romero) all the way to Jean Deslatte (born 1820). There are some missing links, I'd love to share any information I have, as well as obtain any new information anyone has. The most gaps are from the female lineage. I'm still trying to piece together all the information I have. If anyone has information on the Deslatte lineage that currently reside in New Iberia, Louisiana, please let me know!
