Looking for family of Margaret Hastwell who was married to James Faraday of Clapham, Yorks.

Query by chastwell

James Faraday was a blacksmith born 8 May 1761. James married Margaret Hastwell 1n 1786, at Clapham, Yorkshire. Soon after their marriage the family moved to Newington, London, where James was employed as a blacksmith. The family were members of the Sandemanian congregation, consequently there are no church records to research. Unless you know differently.

Margaret Hastwell was a farmer's daughter and her family were domiciled in the Clapham area of Yorkshire.

If there is anyone who has any details of the above family, it would be much appreciated if I could discuss the details with them.

I was born 31/05/1929 at Burnley, Lancashire, and was educated at Burnley Grammar School, and Balshaw's Grammar School. Leyland Lancashire. I served my National Service in the Royal Air Force, In the Police Dog Section. I was a memberof the squad which was at the first Royal Tournament after the end of the war. On leaving the RAF I joined the Burnley Borough Police force. In 1959 I left and became a Civil Servant, employed as a Driving Examiner. I regraded and was promoted to Higher Executive Officer. I have been retired since 1989. I have a younger brother: Harry born 1944. He has two daughters.
My wife is Madeleine, who like me endures poor health. Madeleine has a son from a previous marriage, with whom I have a very good relatioship. I do not have any children.
My paternal family came from Kirby Steven area of Cumbria, and Cornwall(Merrifield). My maternal family: Simpson/ Bownass, came from Kendal, Cumbria(previously Westmorland).
