I am wondering if John ellis Uren and Jane had a child named robert Hartley Uren and if they lived in New zealand

Yes, Robert Hartley UREN was the youngest of 11 children. Robert was born in Christchurch NZ in 1882,died 8 May,1824. Married Annie Philomena GROVES in 1902, born 1883, died 5 July 1974 Christchurch NZ. They had 2 daughters Stella Madeleine and Florence. There may be more family but this is all I have on this family. Cheers Sue

Her father was Joseph Hartley Walker and her mother was Jane Atha. Sorry have no birth dates.

Jane Susannah Walker was born somewhere in England about 1842
She arrived in New Zealand about 1868 when she was 26, possibly after being in Australia (I have not researched Jane, her parents or arrival)

would it help you in your search to know that Jane next married Edmund SMART (1831-1919) as his 3rd wife, on 24 April 1899 in Christchurch (3 years after the death of her 1st husband, John Ellis Uren).
She was then 57 & Edmund was 67

Edmund was also born in Moulton, Northampton and arrived in NZ Dec 1850 on the RANDOLPH

Jane is buried in Plot 149, Block 32 at Linwood cemetery, Christchurch

sorry, should have added that Jane died 19 November 1918 aged 76

Stella Madeline m Bert Taylor 1936 and I have Florence m George Moss - no date. Hope this helps in your research.
