?COX?Boy?Christchurch?Born1946-52

Journal by Chrisie672

There's a story in my family, Through not everyone believes it, it's been handed down for the last 70 years.
I've been told my Pop-a, Harry George Cox (born 18/02/1928) had seven children not six.
The first one had a different mother from the others.
My Pop-a was born in Christchurch, so thats the most likely place for them to been born. My Pop-a had the other six children between 1952 and 1961.
Theres a few different theories/made up stories about it, one might be true.
1. The Mother ran away with the 'boy' maybe changed the name.
2. The Mother was beat up/hurt in some way and ran away.
3. The Grandmother didn't like Harry and took them away from him.
By now the 'boy' could be a Granddad, if he's still alive.

I meant my granddad was born in 1928, no I don't know the son's name.

I'm researching a mysterious Cox child in Christchurch too, although a bit earlier. I wonder if there's any family link?

Mine is a child born to Ada Alice Cox and Blythe Fletcher somewhere around 1915-1917. They lived in Sumner and divorced in 1923.
