The information I have on the Vaughan - O'Flaherty family is very sketchy, so any help would be great.

John Vaughan b. abt 1850 Cork Ireland - d.? and wife Julie ?? b. 1852 Cork Ireland - d. 1912 NZ. Arrived on the ship Zealandia Oct 1875 in Otago, with two children.

Mary (Maria) Vaughan b. 1873 Cork Ireland - d. ??
Philip Vaughan b. 1875 NZ - d. 1955 NZ
Margaret Vaughan b. abt ?? - d. ??
Eliza Vaughan b. abt ?? - d. ??
Helena Vaughan b.1879 NZ - d. 1880 NZ (7mths old)

John 1872 married (not registered) Lena O'Flaherty, they had a daughter Alma Lena 1919 NZ, who later went by the name of Maureen.

John is buried in Karori Cemetery Wellington
Lena is buried in Mangere cemetery Auckland NZ, she also changed her name many times when filling out census files.

The other children - Philip never married, Mary (Maria), Margaret and Eliza - no information. All the children were taken from their parents and placed in the Caversham Boys & Girls Industrial School at Lookout point Dunedin in 1882 for their school life, never returned to their parents.

I would like to learn any information on the children and where Lena O'Flaherty came from. Many thanks
