She was born in Leicestershire and did marry in 1908 I think. She died in Winnipeg and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. I am wondering too if she was married before. I am not sure that the man she married was my grandfather. I will appreciate any help you can give me.

I am also interested in finding out if there are any other relatives that may still be living.

Thank you.

There is an Alice M Windebank, born 1861, age 6, daughter,
Huggescote, Leicestershire...........on familysearch.org

On rootsweb there is a familytree for a William Windebank, who married Leah Chapman, in this same place. You might want to email that person who submitted this familytree, to see if this couple is related to your Grandmother.

I found on new.familysearch.

Alice Maude Windebank, 27 Aug. 1884, Hugglescote, England
12 Feb.1964 (father Daniel Windebank)
married John Thomas Tompkin (1883-1953)

son... John (Jack) Tompkin 1908-1987

If you feel this is your family, please send me a private message and I will send you an email of someone who you could contact for further information.

May I make a suggestion to look at the genweb project and see if they did the cemetery you mentioned...you might find a picture. If you know the year your Grandmother passed away, than I suggest trying to obtain an obit to see what was said. The library might help you with
this.

Familysearch.org has not indexed the Winnipeg records yet, but do you know where she lived, etc. as you might find her on other census records, and find her on border crossings, etc.

best wishes, and I hope you find the information you are looking for.
