Hi. I'm looking for family of Athol and Ira Stehr nee Smith. Ira is the daughter my great Uncle George and Pearl Smith (nee Morris) of Warialda, N.S.W. Ira was one of seven children including my grandmother, Edna nee Smith. I only knew one of the seven children besides my grandmother - the youngest, my great Aunty Gert Scutt nee Smith. I did not know her older brothers and sisters, including George. I think Ira and Athol Steer are buried I'm the Tweed Heads cemetery.
I noticed someone else had posted information on the Stehrs.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who is related to Athol and Ira.
Also, as great Aunt Pearl's maiden was Morris, I would be interested in hearing from anyone connected to the Morris family, originally of Warialda, N.S.W.

My great aunt Elsie Pearl Smith's surname prior to her marriage to George Smith was Brooks, not Morris, as per recent advice from Smith relative. Their daughter Ira married Athol Stehr. Athol is buried in the Tweed Heads cemetery. Looking for Smith, Brooks and Stehr descendants of these ancestors from the Warialda and Bingara region.

I have Ira Stehr as dying on 9 June 1997 at Maroochydore Qld.
I do not have a date of death for her husband.
My info is rather scant on this line.

Haven't been to the graves at old Catholic cemetery at North Parramatta yet. Have you? Have been reading the Hancy family history in "Across the Nine Mile" by Ron Norton.
