- William served in WWI as Private 4284 with the AIF, 7th Battalion. His next of kin was his father, J. Ross of 11 Grove Road, Hathorn, Victoria. William DIED OF WOUNDS on 24 July 1916 in France aged 29. He is buried Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension (Plot V, Row E, Grave No. 37), Somme, France

- Arthur was 1 of 3 known children born in Christchurch, New Zealand, to Frederick PEIPER & Jane Agnes CLARKE
27 July 1875 ... On the 26th instant, at St Michael's Church, Christchurch, by the Rev H. J. Edwards, Frederick Peiper to Jane Agnes, eldest daughter of Mr H. Clarke, late of Brighton, Sussex, England
- Arthur's brother Frederick Henry Peiper (1877-1878) died aged 15 months. His sister, Dora Agnes Peiper (1879-1935), served as a Nurse in Pretoria, South Africa Boer War. She was mentioned in Lord Kitchener's Despatches in 1902 and was awarded a gold medal in recognition of her services at the front. She was sub-matron of St Helen's Maternity Hospital in Wellington until 1906 when she was appointed matron of the Maternity Hospital in Auckland. Dora married William OLIPHANT in 1911
- their father, Frederick Peiper was in and out of Court, before and after marriage, for a number of charges, breaking & entering, larceny, fighting etc
* 1872 - Frederick was granted a slaughter-house license in Windmill road
* 1873 - He was charged for slaughtering a bullock on his unlicensed premises in Montreal Street, Central Christchurch
* 7 Sep 1874 - He was a Butcher, in the Christchurch Supreme Court for Bankruptcy, owing his creditors ?1874 (equivalent in Sep 2011 to $233,800)
* On 13 Oct 1874 he was indicted for having stolen thirty-seven boxes of soap
* 1875 - He was a Butcher in Colombo street south when he and J. McWilliams wrote to the Council and asked them if they would be good enough to supply them with a boat or canoe for ferrying their customers across the pond in front of their premises and said they would supply the ferryman (this was obviously tongue in cheek, perhaps due to flooding)
* 1877 He had a slaughter-house license in Heathcote, Christchurch
* 1878 He was a Butcher in Addington, Christchurch
* 1878 He was charged with ill-treating a horse in Lincoln Rd
* 1879 He was a milkman in Addington, Christchurch
* 21 April 1881 his wife Jane died (possibly during childbirth) - 22 April 1881... At Lincoln road, Addington, Jane Agnes, the beloved wife of Frederick Peiper, aged 26 years. She is buried PLOT 742A at Addington cemetery, Christchurch
* 1882 He applied for a liquor license in Sydenham but was refused
* 1883 He was the Proprietor of the MASONIC HOTEL in New Plymouth

- he was commonly known as Fred Peiper, a Drover at Newmarket, Victoria
- RUBY died of a Haemorrhage 28 June 1920 aged 30 in Bright, Victoria

The Fimiston Mine is the largest open cut mine in Australia and it's still growing. When finished it will be 3,8km long, 1,35km wide and 500m deep and is suppossed to produce 300 tonnes of gold until its lifespan is thought to run out in 2018
