I am in the process of documenting all known descendants of Hugh Kikpatrick (b ca 1695 Ire?/Sct? - died 1768 Chester Co. PA). Hugh seems to have been the brother of a John Kirkpatrick who was born ca 1687 in either Ireland or Scotland and died in Chester Co PA in 1772. Hugh left a will naming 8 children:

Hugh Kirkpatrick. West Nottingham. Mar. 19, 1766. May 18, 1768. To son John all estate real and personal. To son David ?5. To sons Hugh and William, daughters Margaret Clinging, Hannah Barkly, Elizabeth Nisbet and Mary McConnell 20 shillings each, they having had their portion already. Executor: Son John.

There is so many descendants and so much in the way of documents, each child is their own volume. I've finished with Hannah Kirkpatrick Barclay's and John Hugh Kirkpatrick's volumes and am working on Margaret Kirkpatrick Clingan's volume at present.

This Kirkpatrick family MAY be connected to the Closeburn, Dumfries-shire, Scotland "Core" family, and if they are, we descend from medieval European Royalty.
