TN (7/4/1827-1/13/1865), m. 7/9/1848 Bledsoe Co., TN, Mary A. COONTZ, (1/26/1833-5/16/1913). Lewis, of the Union Volunteer, 13th Calvary, Company-A was a farrier and blacksmith. Mary and lewis had (6) children. Lewis died at Camp Nelson KY during the Civil War. Note: Mary remarried 11/27/1867, Charles P. TATE (1791-1871). Mary and Chas had (1) son, Charles C. TATE.

Lewis and Mary's 5th child was James Joshua TAYLOR, b. Casey Co, KY(Dec, 1861-Sept, 1942) m. 6/8/1880 Casey Co., KY, Ellen Frances BERNARD (Feb, 1862-Jun, 1925). James J, Ellen, Mary COONTZ (TAYLOR) TATE, and James J's siblings, moved to Taylor, Williamson Co, Texas in 1881.
