I'm searching my Father's family line. I don't have much, but here it is. My Father, Wilfred Colbourne, b. October 23, 1935, Nova Scotia, Canada. ( son of P. Colbourne and Caroline Rushton, (last name is maiden or from a privous marriage) Colbourne. His known siblings are a sister Helen and brother Ira. Dad is the youngest. Both parents were married before, and I think they both brought children into the marriage. Wilfred Married Marilyn Helen Porter, b. June 05, 1939 ( daughter of Sterling Cecil Porter and Berth Olga Sterling) on June 10, 1955 in Springhill, Nova scotia. His second Marriage was to Beverly Langdon April 11, 1981, Mississauga, Ontario.

I have heard of a Carrie Rushton who married a Colborne and her real name was Caroline Rushton and she was the daughter of George Allen Rushton and Mary Weatherby. Carrie had a brother named Ira, so this maybe be your line in the Rushton family.
