Been researching my Bunting line for almost 10 years now, and the only solid info I have is the following:
1880 US Census, Iowa, shows my James Bunting, born 1828 in Canada, having his father's birthplace New York, and mother's in Canada. He was married to Mary (who I know to be a McCann, born in about 1833 in Ireland. This is another line I am researching.)
The census shows James and Mary with 2 daughters and a son at home, as well as a son-in-law:

John C. Bunting, son, born abt 1853 in Canada
Maria A. Bunting, daughter, born abt 1855 in Canada
Rosella C. McFarin, daughter, born 1861 in Iowa
Samuel P. McFarin, son-in-law, born 1853 in Ohio

My line runs down through daughter Rosella and son-in-law Samuel McFarin.
I have info going forward on that line and going back as far as 1770's for my McFarin (McFarren, McFarrin, etc.)lines. Be happy to share any of that info with those who want.

I am stuck at James Bunting and Mary (Ann, Anne?) McCann. I have come across bits of information but nothing that I feel is solidly linked to my James and Mary.

Would love to find another researcher looking for same info.
