I do not think Thomas Mack Lane is part of my Lane heritage but the name sounds familiar and I will check with another Lane family researcher here in my area to see if he is familiar with that name. Lillie Mae Flanry is listed on an Ancestry.com Family Tree maintained by sueann@aol.com I did not see anything about Thomas Mack on there but there are several Lanes on the tree from the Clinchport area listed.
My Lane line stayed primarily in South Eastern, VA and North Eastern, NC.
I called the other local Lane researcher and he said the name sounded familiar but was not part of his line either as far as he knew, sorry. I do not know what info you have on your Lanes but if you let me know what you are looking for I'll be glad to see if I can help. It might help me in my search as well.
I went back and dug a little deeperinto sueann's tree. There are 2 William Lanes listed and a lot of Collins, but not Margaret. The Lillie Mae Flanary on her tree died at the age of 2. It seems that there is a good chance that your Lillie Mae could have been named for her. To get to her Tree, go on Ancestry, click on Family Tree, and put Thomas Mack Lane and Lillie Mae Flanary in the father and mother blocks and click on Search. No other info needs to be enter to find the tree.
