Oringially from Ireland, the Bunting family immigrated to Cherry Valley, New York, United States. In the 1770's some of the family moved to Orange County, Ontario, Canada. Returning to the United States, the family settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and in Oakland County, Michigan. At some point, one of the Bunting ancestor's married a Dod(d)s of Scotland. One of the Dodds' ladies, in turn, went as far as marrying George Britton McClellan who served as a general in the United States Civil War!
This section of my research is quite large, and I would love to share with whomever would be interested. I have solid resources to back up most of my research.
The brick wall that needs to be busted is within the first two generations that immigrated to the United States from Ireland. There is no connecting link between them and the rest of us. There is also no solid information as to where in Ireland the family is from. Any and all infomration would be appreciated.

Hi - just came across your message and wondered if you've had any success - I have two Bunting family members - Isreal and Esther marrying into my Lundy family - I show their parents to be Joseph Bunting m to Sarah Bidgood - not sure if this is any help but I would certainly be open to sharing anything that you need - I'm forcused on the Lundy side of things so I don't have much more although I think the Buntings married back into the Lundy family later in Canada as well
