My father-in-law, Francis Bedel, was a father of four sons and one daughter. Lived in Seymour, Indiana. Married a wonderful woman for over fifty years before he passed away. Francis had many brothers and sisters that I was told, but nothing was ever discussed about his mother or father.

hartmame on 2008-03-26 12:32:25I'm researching the Bedel family. They are from Germany. The earliest information I have on them is from Cincinnati, Ohio. Thats where my branch stayed but the parents moved on to Hamburg and Oldenberg in Franklin Co., Indiana.
My last name is Beedle but from what I'm told my Great Grandfather's name was "James Luther Beedle" and he left home (from what I'm told it was Union area or Vernon, Jackson County, IN) at an early age and headed west and got as far as Nebraska. I found a piece of paper that had names on it and one of the names was "John Alexander Bedel" and he was my GGrandfather's father. I'm having a hard time finding info. on John A. Bedel. This is about all I know.
