Hello. I have been researching my family heritage through bits and pieces of information I have overheard as I grew up. Evidently my fathers family was very closed liped about our America Indian descent. They would speak of Irish and English descent but only whispers of America Indian. According to the little information I have supposedly Chief Swift Bear is my great great grandfather. I cannot locate any documents from him to my great grandfather William Swift born 1864. Also related to the Bordeaux family as Swift Bears sister married James. I am only interested in reading about my lineage. I know everything possible about my mom’s family and want to know where I came from with my fraternal side of the family . If someone could point me in a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
