I am interested in Samuel D A Gilder and his wife Ivy who emigrated to South Australia from England in 1958. I know he died in 1997. Any information as to where they lived, what they did etc, would be appreciated. They had four children.

The passenger list for their 1958 voyage on the Orontes has the family leaving London on 19 August 1958 and arriving in Freemantle 15 September 1958 with their address as c/- Immigration office in Melbourne and contracted to land in Melbourne

Only 3 Children on the passenger list. Samuel was cremated at Enfield Memorial Park in Adelaide but the online records state Cremated remains not interred at a cemetery administered by Adelaide Cemeteries Authority.

Scott, many thanks for telling me about Ivy. I knew about them emigrating from UK in 1958.Samuel's mother's father Frederick Willoughby was an Anglican priest who founded my college in Durham. I am grateful for your help. Andrew
