Yes I am still seeking information on the Scanlon line..If you can let me know how you are related to Scanlon- Taylor, (fingers crossed) We may find out that we are distant cousins..
In my journals on site I have posted information and some photographs, please do take a look then do contact me again.
Any information or data no matter how small will be of great value. Regards Summer
Hi! My dad is a Phelim from Doohoma, County Mayo, Ireland. His mother was Catherine Scanlon. She was born to a Felix (Phelim) Scanlon and Mary Munnelly. She had relatives who moved to the North, near Newcastle. Our Scanlon crew lived in and around the Geesala area (Tullaghan Bawn and Coolaba), County Mayo. I hope this is helpful. I can find more information from the family tree if you would like. My dad's first cousin, Tom Scanlon still resides on the family farm in Coolaba and runs a B and B. He continues to fish and farm. The family farm is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Hi Siocaff, looking forward to any links or information regarding your Scanlon family.
If you have any family websites please do pass on the links..Regards Summer
My Grandmother was Sarah Brydon Scanlon and was born in Lesmehagow, Scotland on Dec 25th, 1902. I have been able to trace her roots back to Gabriel Dunlap, 1762. I would love to find out more and trade information to anyone interested.
