Seeking any BEST descendants which originated in Helland during the early 1600s with John Best who had two wives, Jane Hendra and Grace John. The family moved to other Parishes such as Bodmin, St Dennis, St Stephens in Brannel around the village of Nanpean and into St Austell. I have just over 7000 Best's or their descendants in my database including New Zealand, Australia, quite a few States in the USA and into Canada. PS I am particularly trying to find out the maiden surname of the Mother of a Philemon Best, born abt 1770 in St Stephens in Brannel to a Richard and Mary Best. Richard Best was son of Thomas Best and Mary James, but the maiden surname of Richard's Wife has eluded me. It could possibly be found in the NON CONFORMIST REGISTERS for St Stephens in Brannel where they were married. Philemon was Baptised as an adult in 1801 and married Frances Varcoe the shortly after. Both are buried in the St Dennis Churchyard.
