Profile Research Contact | Hugh VII followed in his father's footsteps by taking the cross and fighting in the Second Crusade. Aside from his record in the war, little is known of him. He had six children, the eldest became Hugh VIII (after 1125-1171). He was taken prisoner after a pilgrimage in 1164, never seeing his seven children again.
