I have found my ancestor Samuel DUFF of Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland who was married to Elisabeth McCLERY marrried in Killyleagh, Down, Ireland on 7 June 1753 to Elisabeth McCLEERY.
This family could be from Killyleagh or almost anywhere else in the British Isles as they were at least later a family of ship owners and master mariners. Does anyone else recognise them as their ancestors too? They had a son Samuel who married Elisabeth SMALL date and place unknown who lived in both Penninghame and later Whithorn in Wigtownshire, Scotland.
