My father was born in Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Pedro Padilla. In my father's birth certificate his father is listed as a mestizo, suggesting my grandfather was mixed with European(probably Spanish) descent as well as indigenous blood. Limited research has found the Padilla name to be linked to Spaniard Basques in Spain. Anyone have a related story or additional information that might help?

Dear r007ene, Welcome. If you goto your profile, and click on PADILLA with your mouse you will be redirected to a surname wiki page that I created with heaps of great links for you to check out.

Tip: Add the surnames that your journals are about at the bottom of each journal, separated with a commar and written in uppercase.

Regards,
Alison from downunder.
