My Lax ancesters came to US from England, Thats all we know! In the uUS Lax is spelled Lakes and my side of family comes from The South, Kentucky.
the farthest we have traced is a George B. Lakes Married to Mary E. Henderson.children are:
1.Jane Lakes,2.Elizabeth,3.Ila, 4.Margaret, 5.Sarah, 6.Robert,7. Nimrod, 8. George Washington,9. Thomas G. 10.William dob 5/28/1818 dod 10/7/1871 (my grgrgr grandfather). I have found every side of my Family in Europe but the Lax (Lakes) side...It is like finding a needle in a hay stack!!! I will not give up though.
