HI Alison,
Thank you for that info.
I havent actually seen his grave site there for the simple reason i was not aware it was there at the time i visited Pinaroo in 2003. (i live in WA) My sister Kristine Ruth Goode (cot death 1963) is buried at Mt Gravatt Cemetary.
but also buried there (pinaroo) is my childrens fathers parents and my father has a plaque on the remembrance wall as he died as a result of things he was exposed to whilst in the Royal Australian Airforce,Bruce Harold Goode retired a warrant officer in the late 80's.
Last assignment was in Canberra in mid 80's.
Thank you very much. :) i was considering getting in touch with the registry office.
I may do it while i am in Brisbane in March 2007
Cheers
Jewelly
Dear Jewelly, Hi there. You're most welcome.
Pinnaroo seems to be a popular resting place for my family too. I have a brother buried there (Cancer 2001), along with my grandmother and others.
My grandfather is buried across the road in the Albany Creek War Service Memorial (Pine Rivers Shire - not Brisbane City Council). He was a Warrant Officer Class 2 in WWII, died 1980.
Post as many journals on here as you like, and I'll try to help you out.
Oh, and sign up as a free member of RootsChat.com - FREE genealogy research. Have your same username as on here in case someone is looking for you. There is an 'Emigrants to Australia' board which is particularly useful for bdm lookups and resources in each State of Australia. You may be very surprised. Lots of rootschatters have the indexes to all the bdms in each State on cd-rom. I'm on there occasionally as 'allycat'.
Alison.
